Treasury Bill Rates Highest in Two Months: Interest rates on 52-week Treasury bills rose in the latest auction to their highest level in two months. The average discount rate was 5.38%, up from 5.22% at the last auction on June 22. It was the highest rate since 52-week bills averaged 5.54% on May 25. The bills will carry an equivalent coupon interest rate of 5.70%, with each $10,000 in face value selling for $9,456.40. Sales totaled $18.29 billion out of bids of $43.71 billion.
