DANA POINT : Hennessey’s to Open Restaurant in Plaza
Hennessey’s Tavern, a coastal chain that also has restaurants in Laguna Beach and Seal Beach, is opening in Dana Point Plaza.
The restaurant, which will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, will occupy the old Vic’s Market building.
The city expects the new restaurant to help revitalize Dana Point Plaza and the Town Center by drawing more people into the area, said Edward M. Knight, director of community development.
“The area has been hurting ever since the Post Office closed down a few years ago,” Knight said. “This will help bring back some business.”
Plans for the restaurant, which will open in 60 days, include an outdoor dining courtyard and an 84-car parking lot.
