The city of Los Angeles has established a memorial trust fund for the families of four city employees who were gunned down at work last week, officials announced Tuesday.

Donations are to be divided evenly among the families of the victims--Tony Gain, Marty Wakefield, Neil Carpenter and James Walton. All four worked for the city’s Department of General Services. Willie Woods, an employee who reportedly was angry about a poor performance evaluation, was arrested in connection with the shooting deaths.

Randall C. Bacon, general manager of the department, said he hopes that the fund will help “in some small way to ease the emotional trauma and financial stress of such a tragic loss for those most in need of our support.”
