Algeria Sentences 131 Militants to Death

PARIS —
An Algerian court has sentenced 131 Muslim militants to death for what it called “terrorism,” the official Algerian news agency, APS, said Saturday.
Only four of the condemned were in the dock for sentencing at the criminal court in the northern town of Tizi Ouzou. The remainder were sentenced in absentia .
