Bullfrogs Rally but Lose to Phoenix

The Anaheim Bullfrogs, who have the best record in Roller Hockey International, lost for only the third time this season, falling to the Phoenix Cobras, 7-6, Wednesday night before 3,407 in the Pheonix Memorial Coliseum.

The Bullfrogs (19-3-1) are 2-2 against the Cobras (13-11).

The Bullfrogs trailed, 6-3, after three quarters but tied the score, 6-6, on two power-play goals by defenseman Joe Cook and one by Victor Gervais, who has 22 goals this season.

But the Cobras’ Jim Bermingham scored at 11:22 of the fourth quarter for the victory.

The Bullfrogs’ Todd Wetzel had a goal, his 39th, and two assists.
