ALBUM REVIEWS / POP : Ben Lee, “Grandpaw Would,” Grand Royal ***.

Precocious doesn’t come close to summing up the solo debut from this Aussie high-schooler, who also fronts the rockier Noise Addict. His takes on celebrity phoniness and interpersonal politics would be witty, wise and literate from someone twice his age. No wonder he’s got such hot supporters as the Beastie Boys, producer Brad Wood and cameo guest singer Liz Phair.
