Wonderware Corp.: The Irvine industrial-automation software company said Thursday that it has landed a three-year contract from Georgia-Pacific Corp. to supply software for the forest-products company’s North American manufacturing operations.

Georgia-Pacific agreed to buy at least $750,000 in software the first year, said James White, senior vice president of worldwide sales at Wonderware.

Fred L. Wolf, an analyst with Adams Harkness and Hill brokerage in Boston, said: “It’s clearly a plus for what appears to be an important deal. This is a company with prospects and it shows.”
