Aurora Electronics Inc.: The Irvine spare parts distributor and electronics recycler reported a net loss of $16.5 million, or $1.90 a share, for the third fiscal quarter ended July 2. That contrasts with profit of $1 million, or 13 cents a share, for the corresponding quarter a year ago. Revenue was down 11% to $31.9 million from $35.7 million. For the nine-month period, the company incurred a net loss of $15.4 million, or $1.86 a share, contrasted with net income of $2.5 million, or 34 cents a share, for the first three quarters of the prior fiscal year. Revenue rose 22% to $107.3 million from $88 million. The company said it recorded onetime after-tax charges of about $15 million that were related to a major corporate reorganization during the third quarter to focus on its core businesses.
