Western Energy Resources Inc.: The Dana Point company said Monday that shareholders have voted to change the company’s name to OMNIPower Inc. The new name reflects the company’s diversified energy capabilities since its acquisition of SUN Utility Network Inc., a renewable energy development company, and Superior Energy Co., an independent oil and gas operator. Shareholders also approved a 1-for-15 reverse stock split, reducing the number of shares outstanding and increasing their value. They also approved the issuance of 3 million shares of preferred stock and an increase in the company’s authorized stock to 20 million shares.
