Killer of 3 to Be Buried in National Cemetery
A man executed for murdering his ex-wife and two daughters in a church parking lot will be buried in a national cemetery because he was an honorably discharged Army veteran.
“Burial in a national cemetery is based on the character of one’s service,” said Bill Jayne, spokesman for the Department of Veterans Affairs’ National Cemetery System in Washington.
Leon J. Moser’s ashes will be mailed to the cemetery for burial at a date that has not been disclosed. Moser, 52, was executed by injection last week for the 1985 murders.
