Origin of Remains Investigated
Human body parts discovered in a West Covina dump may have come from the northeast San Fernando Valley, authorities said Friday.
An arm and leg were found in refuse dumped from a garbage truck into the BKK landfill at 2210 S. Azusa Ave. about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, Los Angeles County coroner’s spokesman Scott Carrier said.
The garbage truck had picked up trash earlier that morning from Pacoima and Sun Valley, Carrier said.
Los Angeles police are investigating, he said.
