Carjacking Victim Found Dead in Trunk

A San Bernardino man who was carjacked and kidnaped by three gunmen was found dead the same day inside his car’s trunk in the City of Industry, sheriff’s deputies said Sunday.

Juaquim Dagraca, 30, and his wife had been sitting in their Chrysler sedan in San Bernardino about 2 a.m. Saturday when the gunmen ordered Dagraca into the trunk and released his wife unharmed before driving away, according to Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies.

The stolen car was found abandoned in Covina Hills at about 10 p.m. Saturday, deputies said, and was towed to the City of Industry, where sheriff’s deputies found Dagraca’s body in the trunk. The cause of death was undetermined.
