Obituaries : * Jack P. Lemons; 56-Year County Resident

Jack P. Lemons, a longtime county resident, died Saturday at his Santa Paula home. He was 76.

Born June 2, 1919, in Munster, Tex., Lemons spent 56 years in Ventura County. He worked as a crane operator for O.S.T. Inc. and later as a security guard for Dial Security.

He was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, Stella Lemons of Santa Paula; daughters Kay Holmes of Santa Clara, Jonnie Fern Zuick of Carmichael, Bonnie Martinez of Ventura, and Frances Lemons, Jackie Brown and Cheryl Cunningham, all of Santa Paula, and son Ronnie Lemons of Turlock. Another son, Douglas Lemons, died in April.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Pierce Brothers Stetler Mortuary in Santa Paula. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the mortuary chapel, with interment following in the Santa Paula Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1363 Del Norte Road, Camarillo.
