Gunter, who died in 1976, was a Nashville bluesman whose song “Baby, Let’s Play House” caught the ear of Presley in 1955. Presley’s version is hailed by many critics as the most compelling of his Sun records. If nothing else here matches the punch of “Baby,” Gunter’s music is consistently fresh and appealing.
