* Pacific Rim Holding Corp., a Woodland Hills insurer, named several executives to its Pacific Rim Assurance subsidiary that writes workers’ compensation policies in California, Arizona and Texas.

Dina Braun-Puetz was named vice president-claims. Mark Gray was elected resident vice president-Arizona operations. Gerald Whelply becomes treasurer; Don Calabrese is now assistant vice president-underwriting, and Jim Hindes is assistant vice president-resource management.

* Health Net, a Woodland Hills-based health maintenance organization, has hired an expert in assessing the quality of managed care health plans.

Antonio P. Legorreta was named vice president of quality initiatives. In his previous position as medical officer at U.S. Healthcare Corp., Legorreta developed and tested health-services research applications to measure medical quality, and implemented quality improvement projects for various health plans.

* Ellen Eliasoph has been appointed senior vice president of business development for Burbank-based Warner Bros. Asia Pacific region.

Eliasoph, an attorney who worked previously for the firm of Paul Weiss, Rifkind and Wharton in Hong Kong, will continue to be based in Hong Kong.

* Arthur E. Fury has been appointed vice president of strategic marketing at Semtech Corp., a Newbury Park electronics company. He has been vice president of sales for the past three years. Previously he was a founder of ModuPower, a San Jose electronics concern, and a co-founder of Power Integrations in Palo Alto.

Semtech selected John C. Fursman to succeed Fury as vice president of sales. He is a former president of Teledyne Relays in Hawthorne, and was a co-founder of Teledyne Microelectronics.

* Hugh Gagnier, chief operating officer of Eltron International Inc., a Simi Valley producer of bar code equipment, has been appointed to the additional post of president.

* Hans Peter Staab has been chosen vice president of engineering at ACT Networks Inc. in Camarillo. He previously was director of network management and systems at General DataComm Inc. in Middlebury, Conn.

ACT also selected Andre de Fusco as vice president of marketing. He was previously marketing director at Northern Telecom Wireless Systems.
