VENTURA : Vargas to Address Latino Political Issues

El Concilio del Condado de Ventura will hold a luncheon on Friday featuring the executive director of the National Assn. of Latino Elected & Appointed Officials.
Arturo Vargas will speak on “Latino Political Reality” at El Torito restaurant in Ventura from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
NALEO represents about 5,000 Latino elected officials, and Vargas has been the organization’s director since last December. Before that, he was vice president of the Mexican American Legal Defense Education Fund.
