Aliso Viejo-Based Armor All Names Executive Vice President
* Michael G. McCafferty has joined Armor All Products Corp. in Aliso Viejo as executive vice president and chief financial officer. He is the former executive vice president and chief financial officer of Mattel Inc. McCafferty joined Mattel in 1985 as senior vice president and treasurer, and was named CFO in 1993. He has also previously held financial positions with Great Western United Corp., Kaiser Aetna and Crown Zellerbach Corp.
* James R. Mahoney has been named president and chief executive of Freedom Home Equity Partners Inc., an Irvine company specializing in home equity conversion loans to senior homeowners. He succeeds Robert Bachman, a founding partner, who will remain a member of the board of directors. Mahoney has been senior vice president and chief operating officer since the company was formed in 1991. John Vogt, who joined the company in 1994, has been appointed vice president of marketing.
* Cheryl Perkins has been appointed senior vice president of Cost Care Inc., a Newport Beach-based managed care company. She had been vice president of network management. Before joining Cost Care, Perkins was vice president of medical services at PacifiCare Health Systems Inc. She was also vice president of utilization and quality management for Health Plan of America. In addition, John Webster has been named to the newly created position of vice president of management information systems. He was previously associate vice president. Webster joined the company in 1986 as manager of applications development.
* Steven Bukich has joined ARV Assisted Living Inc. in Costa Mesa as director of construction. He will be responsible for overseeing contractors building the company’s new senior apartment and assisted living communities. Bukich was previously a project manager with Birtcher Construction Ltd. in Laguna Niguel.
* Edgar S. Brower has been elected to the board of directors of Omega Environmental Inc. in Bothell, Wash. Brower is chairman, president and chief executive of Pacific Scientific Co., a Newport Beach manufacturer of electrical and safety equipment.
