Italy’s prince of opera, Luciano Pavarotti, joined a galaxy of rock stars Tuesday night at an open-air benefit concert for the children of Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Britain’s Princess Diana and about 15,000 others paid $20 to $155 for a ticket to the 2 1/2-hour show here in the tenor’s hometown.

The rock stars included Bono and guitarist The Edge of U2, Simon Le Bon of Duran Duran, Brian Eno, Michael Bolton, Meatloaf, blues king Zucchero, the Cranberries and Croatian singer Nenad Bach.
