Equipment Blamed for Power Outage
SIMI VALLEY —
Equipment failure in underground power lines left 2,835 Simi Valley residences and commercial buildings without electricity Wednesday night.
The power outage occurred at 7:15 p.m. but was restored at 8:25 p.m., said Jack Yocum of Southern California Edison Co.
The outage affected properties near Yosemite and Los Angeles avenues, Yocum said.
No traffic accidents occurred at intersections where power was out, according to Simi Valley police.
