A Hit and an Error

The editorial about the fine record of the Yorba Hills Little League team (“Score This Season a Hit for the Community,” Sept. 3) was well done and very appropriate. You told a valid story of a fine group of boys.

This editorial helped to compensate for the exceedingly inappropriate and really stupid article that appeared on Page 1 of your paper on Aug. 23. The writer apparently thought he was being cute by saying in many different ways, and sometimes repeating himself, in some quite sarcastic phrases, that there are no “Yorba Hills,” that “Yorba Hills is sheer myth, a spot that shimmers in the mind’s eye but doesn’t exist in reality.” The article rambles on for approximately 29 column inches and really says nothing.
