Xircom Sells Off Network Printer Line to Pacific Data

Share

Xircom Inc., a Newbury Park producer of computer network access systems, has agreed to sell its line of network printing products to Pacific Data Products Inc. in San Diego.

Xircom is selling its printer business because it wants to concentrate on products that allow mobile and remote access to corporate computer networks, according to Dick Gates, Xircom’s president and chief executive.

“It became apparent that network printing solutions no longer fit our product and market plans, and we began a search for a company that could support our existing print server customers,” Gates said.
