Texas Executes Robber Who Killed Teen-Age Girl

HUNTSVILLE, Tex. —
A man convicted of killing a teen-age girl during a robbery was put to death Wednesday at a state prison here. It was the 100th execution in Texas since the state restored capital punishment in 1982.
Harold Joe Lane, 50, died six minutes after receiving a dose of lethal chemicals, Texas Department of Corrections spokesman David Nunnelee said.
