The travel program called Interhostel, which caters to adults over the age of 30, is observing its 16th anniversary with the largest number of overseas travel programs since its founding in 1979. Interhostel’s fall and winter catalogue lists nine new programs in addition to its 16 regularly scheduled tours. The new additions for fall 1995 and early 1996 include educational programs in conjunction with overseas universities, and they offer a wide range of topics, including the history, politics, environment and culture of each region.

New programs include Rome; Czech and Slovak Republics; Bristol and London, England; Burgundy, Beaujolais and Lyon, France; Israel and Jordan; Vietnam, and Christmas in Paris.

The Swiss Hotel Assn. is offering free copies of a booklet titled Holidays for Senior Citizens, which describes discounted lodgings in all 12 cantons (states) in Switzerland. The discounts are valid for women over age 62 and men over 65. For couples, one spouse must meet the age requirement.
