ACT Networks’ Quarterly Loss Climbs to $211,000

ACT Networks Inc., a Camarillo maker of phone and data networking products, said its loss for the first fiscal quarter that ended Sept. 30 was $211,000 compared to a profit of $171,000 a year earlier. Revenues for the first quarter were up 16% to $5.1 million from $4.4 million a year ago.

The company attributed the results to lower-than-expected international sales for the quarter and research-and-development costs related to the release of new products.
