Anaheim-Based Odetics Posts Higher 2nd-Quarter Revenue

Odetics Inc., a supplier of automated tape libraries, video and data recorders, and digital video equipment, reported Tuesday net income rose to $398,000, or 7 cents a share, in the second fiscal quarter from $51,000, or 1 cent a share, for the second quarter a year ago. Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was up 8% to $24.5 million from $22.7 million.

Profit for the first half increased 18% to $609,000, or 10 cents a share, from $516,000, or 9 cents a share, for the first six months of the prior fiscal year. Revenue rose 2% to $45.9 million from $45.2 million.
