Alliance Imaging Inc.: The Orange company has sold its Woodward Park Imaging Center in Fresno to a private investor as part of Alliance’s plan to concentrate on services to hospitals. The Woodward facility was the only imaging center not based at a hospital, the company said. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“We believe that hospitals and their associated physicians are becoming the dominant providers of medical imaging services,” said Richard N. Zehner, chairman, president and chief executive of Alliance. “Although the Woodward Park Imaging Center was successful and generated annual revenue of approximately $2.5 million, the contribution to our profits was minimal and it consumed large amounts of top management’s time.”
