Today’s a Beautiful Day for Schools
Parents and school principals are giving up part of their weekend today to wash windows, plant flowers, pull weeds and paint playground equipment at 10 Fountain Valley School District campuses.
The district’s first Beautification Day will be from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Supt. Robert G. Sampica said a committee of parents, district workers, board members and administrators have worked to put on the event.
Participating schools are Courreges, Cox, Gisler, Moiola, Newland, Oka and Plavan elementaries and Fulton, Masuda and Talbert middle schools.
Tamura Elementary School will hold its Beautification Day later.
