Obituaries : Robert O. Metzger; Management Consultant

Robert O. Metzger, 55, international management consultant who wrote three books on his profession. Born in New York, Metzger was educated at Northwestern University, the University of Maryland and Harvard Business School. In the 1980s, he taught management and organization at USC’s School of Business Administration and served as associate director of the school’s Center for Operations Management. Metzger’s clients in more than 20 countries included banks, insurance companies, public utilities and accounting firms. His books included “Consulting to Management,” “Profitable Consulting” and “How to Develop a Consulting Practice.” On Oct. 6 in Cincinnati after a lengthy illness.
