Consider Driver When Looking at Car Risks

In “Small Cars Riskier, Insurers Say” (Oct 20) on the 10 safest and 10 riskiest automobiles, wouldn’t it be advisable to mention that the Corvette (risky) might be driven by a different driver and thus exposed to different risks than the Nader-approved Volvo 240?

Cars, like a number of other consumer products, are no more dangerous than the operator using said product--difficult though it may be to put the blame at the foot of the individual user in these politically correct times.
