THOUSAND OAKS : School Hosts Debate on Minority Policy
Two speakers will debate affirmative action issues Thursday at 7 p.m. during a free event at Cal Lutheran University.
Joe R. Hicks, a Los Angeles native, serves as executive director of the Multicultural Collaborative of Los Angeles, an advocacy organization that seeks solutions to inter-ethnic problems.
Richard D. Ferrier serves on the board of the California Assn. of Scholars as an administrator at Thomas Aquinas College. He has served as chairman of the Ventura County Republican Central Committee.
The event, titled “Affirmative Action and Reaction--A Reasoned Debate,” will be held in the Nelson Room at Cal Lutheran, 60 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks. For more information, contact the Campus Ministry Office at 493-3228.
