John Robinson wasn’t the only USC figure practicing oratory Saturday at Seattle, where a rallying USC tied Washington, 21-21.

Afterward, Robinson’s players credited the coach’s halftime tirade for setting the proper tone, when USC trailed, 21-0.

Seattle Mariner pitcher (and former Trojan) Randy Johnson spoke to the team before the game. Johnson said, according to quarterback Brad Otton: “There are 70,000 people out there who are against you. . . . What more of a challenge could you want?”
