San Gabriel Valley : EARLY CHRISTMAS
Pasadena residents got their first Christmas gift this week when the City Council agreed to spend $100,000 on a free bus service for the holiday season to ferry passengers between shopping districts.
The bus service will begin Nov. 24, the busiest shopping day of the year, and will circulate to Northwest Pasadena, Old Pasadena, South Lake Avenue and East Pasadena until Jan.2.
A similar shuttle service last year carried 35,000 riders in four weeks, officials said.
