GARDEN GROVE : Police to Auction Off Harley-Davidson Cycles

Saying that it anticipates high demand from the public, the city’s Police Department will auction off its two remaining Harley-Davidson motorcycles Dec. 9.

The 1993 FXRP Harleys--or “hogs,” as they are known by aficionados--are sold directly to police departments and are not available to the public except through auctions.

The Police Department expects to get $9,000 to $10,000 for each bike and will use the proceeds to purchase new Kawasaki models.
