L.A. Chamber Asks Wells Fargo to Head South: Fearing job losses, the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce called on Wells Fargo & Co. to move its corporate headquarters to Los Angeles if the San Francisco-based banking firm succeeds in its hostile takeover of First Interstate Bancorp. “The Chamber is concerned about the loss of major headquartered companies in Southern California,” Charles Reed, chairman of the regional business organization, said in a statement.
