NEWPORT BEACH : Council Trio to Review City Clerk Applications
- Share via
Three council members today will review the applications of about a dozen candidates for city clerk.
After Wanda E. Raggio, whose last day is Dec. 29, announced her retirement last summer, the city hired an executive-search firm to help find a successor.
Mayor John W. Hedges, Councilwoman Janice A. Debay and Councilman Dennis D. O’Neil, who form the city’s Appointment Committee, will choose finalists to be interviewed at the City Council’s Nov. 27 meeting, City Manager Kevin J. Murphy said.
The candidates were selected from a pool of applicants collected by Sacramento-based Ralph Andersen & Associates, which the city hired in September for $17,000.
The committee will hear public comments at 3:30 p.m. in council chambers, 3300 Newport Blvd., before reviewing the applications in a closed session.
