Holiday Closings
Saturday is Veterans Day. Observance of the holiday will affect the following facilities and services:
* Most city, county, state and federal offices will be closed today. City offices in Brea, Fullerton, Laguna Hills, Los Alamitos, Newport Beach and Westminster will be open. Villa Park and Garden Grove city offices will be closed Monday only.
* All county, state and federal courthouses will be closed today.
* City and county libraries will be closed Saturday.
* Some banks and savings and loans will be closed Saturday or Monday. Call your branch to confirm hours.
* Schools and community colleges will be closed today. Cal State Fullerton, UC Irvine and Chapman University will be open.
* There will be no mail delivery Saturday. All post offices will be closed, and mail deposited in mailboxes Saturday will be picked up according to the posted holiday schedule.
* Trash will be picked up as scheduled.
* Buses, Dial-a-Ride and car-pool services will run as scheduled.
* Parks: City- and county-run parks and recreation facilities will be open.
