Leslie’s Poolmart Profit Up 49% to $4.8 Million

Leslie’s Poolmart posted a 49% jump in earnings on a 21% rise in sales for its third quarter that ended September 30.

The Chatsworth-based swimming pool supply concern had net income of $4.8 million, compared to $3.2 million in its third quarter last year. Sales in the latest quarter were $56.9 million, up from $46.9 million a year earlier.

For the nine months, the company’s net income rose 2% to $7.1 million from $6.9 million a year ago. Sales for the nine months climbed 15% to $144.2 million, up from $125.6 million.
