LOS ALAMITOS : Most City Workers Getting Pay Raises
Nearly all of Los Alamitos’ union and non-union employees are getting pay raises.
The City Council voted Monday to give its clerical and public service employees a 2% raise, retroactive to August.
The city’s police officers will receive a 2.5% pay increase effective this week under a 1994 agreement, and several members of the city’s management will receive 3% to 4% raises, in most cases effective this week.
Gerard Goedhart, assistant city manager, said the increases for management are greater in part to keep their salaries competitive with those paid in other cities of similar size.
