Xecom Corp.: The Costa Mesa designer of telecommunications systems has announced plans to acquire Tecom Communications Inc., a software marketing firm in Austin, Tex., for about $1 million in cash and stock. Privately held Tecom, which sells software used in network and telecommunications services, has annual revenue of more than $1 million, executives said. James W. Truher, chairman and chief executive of Xecom, said that Tecom’s 25 employees will remain in Austin. The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of the year, officials said.
