A man accused of conspiring to bomb abortion clinics, welfare offices, gay bars and civil rights groups is a former corporate pilot whose passengers included Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Larry Wayne Crow, one of four suspects, surrendered Tuesday and was ordered held without bond Wednesday until he can be transferred to Oklahoma for trial.

Crow, 56, is a retired commercial pilot who flew the Clintons while working for Tyson Foods in Arkansas in the 1980s, according to his ex-wife, Sonya Crow, and his attorney, Charles Aspinwall.

Crow surrendered to U.S. marshals after seeing his name associated in news reports with three Oklahomans also charged in the conspiracy. All four were named in a federal indictment Wednesday in Oklahoma.

A self-proclaimed anti-government prophet, Willie Ray Lampley; his wife, Cecilia, and John Dare Baird were arrested Saturday at the Lampley’s Vernon, Okla., home, where bomb-making materials were seized.

Crow, who lives south of Albuquerque in Mountainair, allegedly told members of the Tri-States Militia in South Dakota in August that he and the other defendants wanted to blow up five buildings “to create problems for the government.”

According to a federal complaint, they targeted such groups as the Anti-Defamation League, Southern Poverty Law Center, abortion clinics, gay bars and welfare offices.

If convicted, Crow could face five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
