The Clothestime Inc.: The Anaheim operator of women’s apparel stores lost $2.3 million, or 16 cents a share, for the third fiscal quarter, contrasted with profit of $145,000, or 1 cent a share, for the corresponding quarter a year ago. Sales for the quarter ended Oct. 28 declined 2% to $78.7 million from $80.4 million. For the first nine months, the company posted a net loss of $7.1 million, or 50 cents a share, compared with a year-earlier net loss of $2.7 million, or 19 cents a share. Sales were down 7% to $240.4 million from $257.4 million.
