AmeriQuest Reports $7 Million in Losses Despite Sales Growth

Computer products distributor AmeriQuest Technologies Inc. said its losses grew in the first quarter, although sales more than doubled.

The company lost $7 million, or 30 cents a share, for the first fiscal quarter ended Sept. 30, compared with a net loss of $1.1 million, or 10 cents a share, a year ago. Sales climbed to $100.7 million from $49.5 million.

Munich-based Computer 2000 completed its acquisition of a controlling interest in AmeriQuest during the quarter for $32 million, and replaced top AmeriQuest management with a Computer 2000 management team.
