Some Bud Light Beer Recalled: Anheuser-Busch Cos. said it recalled more than 10,000 bottles of the beer after a Glendale resident complained last week of buying a bottle that contained cleaning solution. The company also said it will stop using returned bottles for the time being. The contaminated container was a recycled long-neck bottle that was filled Nov. 1 at the company’s Van Nuys brewery. Anheuser-Busch has recalled all similar bottles of Bud Light filled on the that day. The brewery said the recall and other cautionary measures, including the installation of new bottle inspection safeguards in all its breweries, will cost it millions of dollars. Shares in St. Louis-based Anheuser-Busch, the world’s largest brewer, fell 50 cents to $66.75 on the New York Stock Exchange. Anheuser-Busch said the consumer was treated at a hospital and released and that there have been no reports of similar cases.
