Decades ago, women won the right to dress comfortably, and now they can wear almost anything they want, including pants.
And here men are still slaves to that choker, the tie (“The Ties That Bind,” Style, Oct. 22). I just don’t get it. How can they do this to themselves?
My husband and I immigrated to Israel--a tie-less land--in the ‘50s. When people would ask why anyone who grew up in America would come to Israel, my husband would tell them, “Because you don’t have to wear ties.”
