PerfectData Corp., a Simi Valley maker of maintenance products and accessories for computers and other office equipment, had a net loss of $92,000, or 3 cents a share, on sales of $1.5 million in the three months that ended Sept. 30.

This is in contrast to net income of $182,000, or 5 cents a share, on sales of $2.2 million a year earlier.

The company attributed declines to “inadequate sales and marketing efforts” in the eastern United States.

Franklin Telecom, a Westlake Village producer of communications devices and software, had a net loss of $194,000 on sales of $171,000 in the three months that ended Sept. 30. This is in contrast to a year-earlier profit of $78,000, or 1 cent a share, on revenues of $462,000.

Semtech Corp., a Newbury Park semiconductor maker, had net income of $1.9 million, or 30 cents a share, on sales of $16.6 million in the three months that ended Oct. 29. A year earlier, net income was $302,000, or 5 cents a share, on sales of $8.3 million.

The results for both periods reflect a pooling of interests with ECI Semiconductor, which was acquired last month.
