Auto Makers Report Mixed November Sales: General Motors Corp. reported disappointing domestic truck sales that offset gains by Chrysler Corp. and set the stage for a quiet finish to a lackluster year for the industry. The seasonally adjusted annual sales rate for the month is expected to be about 14.9 million units--far below last year’s strong 15.5-million rate but better than October’s 14.5-million rate and flat with September. Total sales for the 16 car makers reporting Friday were down 1.8% from a year ago. Their year-to-date sales were down 3.4%. Results for the month will not be complete until Ford Motor Co. reports its sales figures Tuesday.
