Broker Gets 15 Months in Whitewater Case

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A real estate broker for the failed Whitewater resort was sentenced Friday to 15 months in prison and ordered to pay $112,000 in restitution to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court.
Chris V. Wade, 49, pleaded guilty this year to bankruptcy and loan fraud in the Whitewater development project. He had been indicted by a grand jury supervised by Whitewater independent counsel Kenneth W. Starr but has no direct ties with President Clinton and his wife.
