Micom Systems Pass Firms’ Compatibility Tests

Computer networking systems produced by Micom Communications Corp. in Simi Valley have been declared compatible with relay services provided by three major companies.

AT&T;, Sprint and LDDS WorldCom have certified Micom’s Marathon and NetRunner systems, according to Micom.

AT&T; approved the Micom products as a result of tests performed at AT&T; Bell Laboratories in New Jersey. Sprint and LDDS performed independent tests.

The results mean Micom customers can now add voice and fax traffic to data already being carried on their relay networks, according to Gil Cabral, Micom’s president and chief operating officer.

Micom’s networking systems are distributed in more than 85 countries.
