World IN BRIEF : LEBANON : 5 Reported Killed in Israel-Militia Clash

An Israeli soldier and four Muslim guerrillas were killed in a clash in southern Lebanon, pro-Israeli sources said. They said guerrillas firing machine guns attacked an Israeli patrol near the village of Talloussa in the central sector of Israel’s southern Lebanon occupation zone. Amal, a Syrian-backed Muslim Shiite militia group headed by Nabih Berri, Lebanon’s National Assembly speaker, claimed responsibility for the attack, in which two Israeli soldiers were also wounded.
