SEOUL MUSIC: You don’t expect a lot of controversy around Quincy Jones, but a song from his new album “Q’s Jook Joint” has just been banned in Korea.

It seems that the title of the song “Stuff” is a slang reference in Korea for drugs. The Korean minister of culture insisted that the album would be released only if the song was deleted on albums sold in that country.

Jones is reluctantly complying.

“It’s ridiculous,” Jones says. “But I’ve been fortunate enough to have experienced a lot of different cultures over the course of my 50 years in the business, and have immense respect for them, so I agreed to remove the track.”
